May is AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Asian American Book Club partnered with two of America's most prominent Asian American therapists, Dr. Jenny Wang and Sahaj Kaur Kohli, to host an AAPI Wellness workshop!
On Monday, May 13, Sahaj and Dr. Jenny celebrated the dual publication of Sahaj's first book, But What Will People Say?, and the paperback edition of Dr. Jenny's book, Permission to Come Home. They led an emotional and powerful program that began with questions from the audience, engaging the attendees in a frank conversation aboutrace, family and interpersonal dynamics, and personal growth.
We are proud to have Dr. Jenny's and Sahaj's books be part of the very first books selected by the Asian American Book Club!
